Zipora’s Story

From hopeless to hopeful

Zipora was struggling to sleep at night. She had no job or skills and worried about how she’d feed her three young children each day. 

When she heard about the PFP Arise Centre she took a big leap of faith and enrolled in the Fashion & Design course on offer there.

Over the months that followed Zipora developed new practical skills, pouring her heart into every stitch. Finally she graduated with a certificate, which opened new doors of opportunity.

Today, Zipora works at EPZ Kenya, a prestigious export processing zone that hires some of the best seamstresses in the garment industry.

For Zipora, this wasn’t just a training programme, it was a turning point in her life.

“Arise gave me more than a skill. It gave me hope, confidence, and a reason to wake up every morning. I’ll always be grateful…I can now provide for my boys with dignity”
