On 20 August 2026, we held an adolescent life skills and capacity-building session at St Veronica Kokwo Girls Hall in Endebess, Kenya, led by Moses Kurui, our Project Coordinator. The session brought together 114 young people, exceeding our target of 90 participants.

Sixteen Community Health Promoters (CHPs) participated, offering a supportive environment for the young people. The Ministry of Health (MoH) provided the training and additional services, including HIV counselling and testing, referrals and psychosocial support. During the session, 30 young people volunteered for HIV testing.

The following day, 21 August 2026, we began a two-day holiday life skills and career guidance capacity-building programme for 18 teenage mothers through our Back to School, Back to Hope initiative.

The programme brought together teenage mothers already participating in the initiative and others drawn from the wider community. With support from the local church and school board of management, the participants were motivated to return to school and continue their education.

We are walking alongside these young people as they build life skills, access health information and pursue their education, helping them build a foundation for stronger futures. You can join us in supporting them on this journey. Endebess, Kenya.
