Unlocking Potential: Stronger Futures Together
On 26 June 2026, Arise Centre hosted its Annual Open Day, bringing together trainees, alumni, community members, government representatives, partners and teams from across PFP to celebrate what becomes possible when people have access to practical skills, the right support and opportunities to put their potential into action.

A major highlight of the day was the live skills demonstrations, where trainees and alumni showcased what they had learned across different trades. The demonstrations reflected both the knowledge and practical skills they had gained, as well as the confidence they had built to apply them in real-life settings.
We were honoured to welcome Ms. Nora Achola, an experienced TVET professional, whose keynote address emphasised the importance of quality vocational education in creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for young people. Her message reinforced why accessible, practical skills development matters, particularly in helping young people gain the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices about their future.
The Open Day also created an opportunity for our teams to learn from one another. Teams from Endebess, Remba and Osupukiai joined the event to exchange ideas and learn from the Arise Centre model. For the Endebess team, the visit offered valuable lessons as we work towards establishing the Rebecca Cheptegei Centre, creating another pathway for women and young people to access practical skills and economic opportunity.
The work at the Arise Centre is helping strengthen the community. 79.6% of graduates secure employment or become self-employed within 12 months of completing their training. Beyond these outcomes, the Centre gives people the confidence to keep developing, apply what they have learned and pursue new possibilities.
