Are you at a stage in your career where you want to give back: using your experience, networks, and insight to create lasting change?
We are seeking a Trustee to Chair our Fundraising Sub-Committee. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful strategic role in a small, ambitious charity working alongside partner communities in East Africa.
You don’t need direct fundraising experience or previous trustee experience. Many of the strongest fundraising leaders come from careers in business development, relationship management, customer/client engagement, marketing, or leadership roles where communication and strategy are key. What matters most is your energy, commitment, and confidence in bringing people together behind a shared mission.
As our Fundraising Lead, you’ll guide and support work such as:
Designing and steering effective fundraising strategies
Developing and nurturing individual giving programmes
Creating, cultivating, and sustaining corporate partnerships
You won’t be doing this alone - you’ll help shape direction, support our small team, and ensure that PFP has the financial resilience to keep transforming lives with our partner communities around the world.
This is a voluntary role (reasonable expenses reimbursed). Our Board meets quarterly, mostly online, with one in-person meeting each year in London, plus an annual strategy day. We’d welcome someone who enjoys being part of a committed, friendly board contributing their experience for social good.
