Launch of the Multisectoral Action Plan for Young People’s Health

Back in April, Power for the People took part in the Adolescent Symposium hosted by the County Government of Homa Bay. At the symposium, the Homa Bay Multisectoral Action Plan for Adolescents and Young People’s Health was officially launched.
The event brought together a range of stakeholders working in adolescent and youth well-being, and included discussions on how different sectors can work more closely together to strengthen collaboration and improve outcomes for adolescents and young people.
One of the key outcomes of the symposium was the launch of the Multisectoral Action Plan, which provides a framework for better alignment across sectors and strengthens efforts to improve accountability and targeted support for young people. The plan also reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that adolescents and young people can access the services, support, and opportunities they need to thrive in health, education, and other areas of well-being.
For Power for the People, taking part in this event aligns with our ongoing work in adolescent health, education, and community empowerment. We remain committed to working with partners and communities to help turn these commitments into practical action at the community level.
A key takeaway from the event is that continued collaboration across sectors will be crucial in ensuring the plan leads to meaningful improvements in the lives of adolescents and young people in Homa Bay. It also highlighted the importance of multisectoral approaches in developing more holistic responses to complex challenges affecting young people.
Thank you to our MSRH Lead and Community Outreach Coordinator, Loice Matilda, for representing PFP Africa Trust at such an important event.
